Scout Fair
Sam Houston Area Council (SHAC) hosts this event once a year, in the spring. It is from 11:AM - 4:PM. It's held at Reliant Arena. Admission is free (parking $10).
The Fundraiser
Coupon books are available for scouts to sell for $10.00 each. Each coupon pack has many coupons (about $400.00 in value!) to everyday places like Krogers, McDonalds, Lubys, Jiffy Lube, and many more. The scout keeps 25% of all sales (35% when we participate in Scout Fair).
The Event
Scouts from 16 counties will unite in one place to showcase their Scouting skills.
- Meet leaders and Scouts from your neighborhood and all over the Council area
- Sample the amazing dutch oven creations and other delicacies
- Visit the midway with over 60 experts representing merit badges
- Watch demonstrations
- Interact with participating booths
